The Air Command 80 SSE II furnace combines a tow-stage gas valve and two-speed combustion blower to efficiently deliver ultimate comfort levels. This technology automatically delivers consistent, soothing heat without the uncomfortable and costly cycling of a standard furnace. As outdoor weather lowers the indoor temperature of your home, the furnace adjusts it operation from low-speed, less fuel; calling for additional heat only when necessary to maintain the more constant, comfortable indoor temperature. In warmer weather, the two-stage furnace will run at the lower speed most often. As the temperature drops, more heat is automatically called for to heat the home faster. Once the desired temperature is reached, it returns to the quieter, more efficient operating mode. This reduces the uncomfortable – and costly – cycling on and off of standard furnaces.
